Sugar-Free Ketchup Recipe

Firstly, we'll add passata to a pot on the stove over medium heat. Passata (tomato sauce) is the tomato base to this ketchup recipe.

Next, add allspice, cumin, paprika, sumac, garlic & onion powder. These seasonings together make ketchup taste like...ketchup!

Next, season the keto ketchup with salt! This allows the flavours to really pop and shine, without adding too much sodium like store-bought ketchup.

Also add in some ground black pepper pepper for a hint of spice and more balance. Stir everything together well.

Next, add in your sweetener of choice. I like to add an erythritol and stevia blend. It's just the right sweetness without the taste of sweetner.

Allow everything to simmer on the stove and reduce until it reaches the desired thickness. The sweetener will dissolve as it's heated as well. 

Serve this ketchup as a dip to fries, sausage, or other roasted vegetables, or use it as a spread for burgers and sandwiches.
