- 1 Camembert cheese wheel
- 1 spring fresh rosemary
- 1/4-1/2 tsp dried red chili pepper flakes to taste
- 2 tsp honey
Preheat the oven to 175°C/350°F. If you're using the air fryer, no preheating is needed.
Remove the plastic wrapping from the wheel of Camembert and place it back into its wooden or cardboard box on top of a small baking sheet, with parchment paper or tin foil under the cardboard or wooden box.
Score the top of the Camembert with a sharp knife 3 times horizontally and 3 times vertically.
Add the toppings to the top of the cheese beginning with the fresh rosemary, and chili flakes, then drizzle honey.
Oven: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, until the gooey cheese is soft and melted inside.
Air Fryer: Air fry it for 16 minutes at 175°C/350 F, until the gooey cheese is soft and melted inside.
Season with a crack of black pepper and serve the melty cheese immediately with a drizzle of olive oil on a serving platter with some crackers or crusty bread of your choice.
- Use a ripe Camembert: The riper the cheese, the gooier the melt.
- Don’t overbake: Too long in the oven, and the cheese may turn grainy instead of smooth.
- Experiment with toppings: Try nuts, garlic, or even a splash of balsamic glaze for extra flavor.
- Serve immediately: This dish is best enjoyed hot, straight from the oven.
Storage instructions
- Refrigerate: Wrap leftover Camembert in parchment paper or foil and store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days.
- Reheat: Warm in the oven at a low temperature (150°C/300°F) for a few minutes until soft again.
- Use in other dishes: Spread leftover melted cheese on toast or mix it into scrambled eggs for a decadent breakfast.
