Simply put, ground beef is easy to find and affordable on any budget, and perfect for feeding the whole family. You can find it in large grocery stores and even small corner shops. Ideally, you would buy grass-fed ground beef locally from a butcher or a farmer for the best ground beef. Ground beef can come in a number of varieties, from lean to fatty depending on your taste and nutrition goals. Whole30 uses simple ingredients so making sure there are no additional ingredients or additives is important – you want to avoid those whenever possible anyway. On to the recipes!

❤️ My go-to staple Whole30 Ground Beef Recipes

These are really easy whole30 recipes, some don’t even have a proper “recipe” per se, it’s that simple! These delicious meals are all healthy ways to make your next (or current!) round of whole30 a breeze.

  • Whole30 Frozen Meatballs are an awesome paleo meal prep recipe! The recipe card has Whole30 suggestions in it (substitute Worcestershire sauce for coconut aminos and ketchup for tomato paste), and even with the substitutes, they taste amazing. I love adding them to marinara or gravy and serving them over spaghetti squash or butternut squash boats to make a complete meal. They can be cooked from frozen in a variety of ways: in the sauce, air fryer, slow cooker, instant pot, baked…the list goes on!
  • Another really simple way to prepare ground beef for whole30 is by simply adding 1 or 2 tablespoons of Whole30 Taco Seasoning to grass-fed beef and pan-frying it in a large skillet until the beef is cooked through. I generally serve the meat as a salad or in lettuce boats with stir-fried bell peppers and red onion. Add a little hot sauce for an extra kick!
  • Thirdly, I really enjoy adding it to shakshuka along with some aubergine (eggplant). This is the recipe I loosely follow, skipping the sugar, cheese, yogurt or sour cream, and bread. I always at least double the spices as well. It’s such an easy meal that tastes so delicious!
  • Lastly, I like to make a healthy ground beef stir fry by adding ground beef or my frozen meatballs to my Vegan Stir Fry recipe and serving it over cauliflower rice or in lettuce wraps.
